Which Is the Best Monster Munch Flavour?

Obviously one of the greatest snacks ever created. Which flavour is (or was) the best?

I have deliberately omitted the travesty that was Vanilla Ice Cream flavour.

I always thought the original flavour was cheese - turns out it was roast beef. I had no idea there were that many flavours - there might be a trip to britishcornershop.co.uk a little earlier than I had originally planned.
    In the Sotadic Zone, apparently.

I believe that there are three current flavours (first three in the poll). Historically there were 'cheesy' and 'saucy' flavours but they didn't make the cut.

    Yeah pickled onion wins.

Roast beef is also lovely. I'm really not a fan of flaming hot ones.

Pickled onion. Accept no substitute (except for beef if pickled onion not available).
All the rest should be banned.

Funnily enough, pickled onion was by far the best seller in our grocers There were only three original flavours at that time, and we generally could only get Pickled Onion and Roast Beef in stock, as Saucy wasnt always at the wholesalers, but even though they were so popular I generally never seen many other pickled onion snacks - we had onion rings and things like that, but no pickled onion.

Walkers were a bit of a toss up between salt and vinegar and cheese and onion, with maybe cheese and onion being our best seller, but only just - also my favourite at the time.

I'm in agreement that Pickled Onion is the finest flavour in the UK. But in France they have a rival Ham & Cheese version which sounds a tad more enticing.

I hope we can all remain friends after this.

    Trick question!!

    Pickled onion with lunch.
Roast beef as a late night snack (to accompany a shite movie).
Flamin' Hot in the pub, one of those big 'Grab Bag' things. Roof of your mouth will be torn to ribbons!

True. Walkers crisps are the most frequently requested comestibles from German colleagues if a trip to Blighty is in the offing.

Controversial choice here but flamin hot are my fave. I never new there were so many flavours. Only seen pickled onion and roast beef. I feel like I have missed out.

    I agree ^^^

And you’re all very lucky as over the past 30 years I’ve seen myself as one of the uk’s leading experts on crisps so I guess that makes me a world expert.

This poll is difficult though as the beef was always my favourite growing up, but doesn’t quite have the same taste to me now even though they claim it does (could be tastes change with age I guess), so I’ll opt for pickled onion by a smidge. Flamin hot is also quality it the rest are all poor in comparison which is why they’ve not endured.

Can’t believe you didn’t include the third flavour ‘Saucy” in the options. It wasn’t as good as pickled onion, but it’s far better than the Roast Beef :)

Yeah, unfortunately a couple of the early flavours didn't make the cut due to poll limitations but I didn't really expect many votes outside of the three current flavours.

Incidentally, for those sitting on the fence you can vote for more than one. It's a tie for me between Pickled Onion and Flamin' Hot.

I also see myself as a bit of an expert too.

Trouble is, I'm currently trying not to eat any crisps. I'm now craving Monster Munch...I've not had any for a few years now actually. I might have to put in a request for some on the weekly big shopping list next week.

Hula Hoops and Niknaks have no place in this thread, it's the slippery slope toward Space Raiders.

Pickled Onion. It is the only choice!

The other question is what is the shape?

    Claws

    Feet

Or little monsters if you stand them up
