Looks great and functionality should be amazing. This would be the toughest smart watch. However it is Wear OS and it is known to be buggy. And only 1.5 days of battery life in SmartWatch mode. I will wait for in depth reviews for sure before even considering. At this price point it better be good as it competes against Garmin Fenix 6 (if discounted).

There are rumours of Apple releasing a rugged watch, but it is unlikely to be as tough as a G-Shock, or to match the 200m water resistance.

I'm still waiting for a smart watch from them in the square case. I'd bite their hand off.

    Approx. 65.6×56.3×19.5mm (H×W×D)

Even by g shock standards that’s verging on the ridiculous

I looked for the specs, but couldn't see them, so thank you! That is indeed quite absurdly huge, but I suppose to get a usable touch screen size and the G case, it was always going to be massive.

    This.

Great to see some movement from Casio but for my taste, if it’s not in a dw5000 case, I’m out.

Yup agree that if the metal square shape was adopted for a smart watch I'd be all over it.

There are a few threads on the Casio WUS forum commenting on the awful software in their latest MIP display watches (like the gbx-100). I had one and it was truly awful, plus the icons on the display were microscopic! - I think the marriage of g shock toughness and solar/atomic style battery life would be amazing, but sadly I can’t see it happening any time soon

This looks to be available now, only a couple of videos on YouTube, but they are getting out there!

For me, interested to see strava and notifications, but looks pretty good so far!

Nah, it's smaller than the Rangeman GPS

Read a few reviews that say the software is awful, the chips used are 5 years behind the competition sadly
