Interesting article regarding the flash cars and bounce back loans.
My grandad always said ‘if you can’t afford something don’t buy it’
Even with the bbl not sure I’d want the monthly repayments on a new Lamborghini ?!

No surprise if the same bbl use is buying watches....

The Collecting Watches Green Daytona now over £50k with 4 days still remaining...

Winning bid £54,000 plus 6% buyers commission.
Nice £24,000 profit for the vendor....

Crazy money. I was looking at one of these last year and it was a good £15k less!

Keeping prices high and with parts restricted to a chosen few, Rolex will attract the right sort of customer and if you don't like that, then tough conkers.
I agree with 90% of what you said. Except for rolex's have become asset commodities. They sit in the safes of the rich and they get swiped off the wrists of the drunk. People nowadays are wearing rolex watches for status instead of appreciation for the piece. So its not that they are being snapped up by the discerning gentleman.... they are being bought more and more by people putting photos on instagram

Where's the market for these currently then? I still hanker for one, but the crazy prices of recent years has been off putting.

Dealers are still trying to get over £50k for them...

...but dealers are still asking a lot of prices at which watches aren't actually selling.

Some dealers lack of cash-flow will force them to liquidate stock by re-pricing it once it is clear that any Christmas cash is gone (circa Feb' 2024 ).

I'd sit on your money for now.
