One thing I've never tried. Love bangers but never had them in a casserole. Great problem solver with the magnet, simple and effective!
Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.

Never thought of cutting up the sausages prior to cooking, will give it a go.

Makes a heck of a difference, allows the sausage juices out into the casserole and the casserole flavourings into the sausages. Same principle applies to sausage curry, my favourite.

We get ours from an Italian place that make their own. Tinned tomatoes, chickpeas, beans etc. In a slow cooker.

Bloody impressive, I tip my hat.

I remember when I got my first house with my wife, sausage casserole used to be a staple for us. Back then it was a pack of Sainsbury’s Economy Sausages a Coleman’s Sausage Casserole sauce mix, an onion and a tin of baked beans. We used to so enjoy it, I haven’t had it in over 20 years. Might have to rustle up a modern day posh version.

As a former physio and a present-day hopeless cook, I was more interested in your friend's dexterity and problem solving skills as well as the simple but effective adaptations, such as the magnet on a post. Impressive and humbling.

Genuinely humbling so thanks for sharing. I recognise life has made him have to find solutions but his patience and dexterity are so good. Total hats off video.

I met up with Tom at an old boys day around 5 years ago. You should see how he drives a car. He doesn’t hang about either. Very disconcerting seeing the steering wheel spinning around but nothing touching it.

I was a nervous passenger until I said to myself “hang on he does this day in day out”👍

    That’s fairly incredible.

I’ve never had a sausage casserole.

How does the car steer? Bet it wasn’t as nerve racking as being driven by a woman though.

He had a Volvo V70 estate car.. Automatic of course. The original steering wheel is in place so that other people can drive the car.

On the floor of the car where the drivers footrest would be, was a small disc with a knob on it. Tom places the knob between his big toe and the next toe and simply uses his foot to turn the disc. He uses his right foot to operate the throttle and brake.

Indicator and light stalks all extended so that he can use his chin to operate.

Blimey! A YouTube video of that would get some views I bet!

    Impressive.

    Another good one to try.

It's like a cottage pie but you use sausages, tinned chopped tomatoes, mushrooms, onions and a touch of garlic if you like it.
I tend to quickly brown the sausages in a pan too and then chop them up.

Stick them in an oven proof dish and stick mashed potato on top and a sprinkling of cheese. Cook it like you would your cottage/shepherds pie.
