Often this is the one that gets the mucky jobs (in this case picking 120 years of paint out of our plaster cornicing)

But not always. Lucky I was wearing this on a NATO when this springbar popped 20ft up a walnut tree

I can't quite remember if I took this picture climbing up a huge mountain in 1953 or a small hill in 2021. It was definitely one of the two.

    Please try to remember.
Were a short Nepali guy and a tall Englishman following you? If so, there could be another chapter in the saga:-)

Actually, I did, it had pinged straight down into my glove. It was a little bent, but straightened up fine.

My father is retired and he's a classic car enthusiast who fixes his own cars. And he's also very hard on his (always cheap) watches. This 70€ Alpha took 10 years of abuse. Some hour markers were detached and the winding crown broke and the last 4 years it was open and probably took oil, water, coolant fluid inside... anything.

But the watch still keeps perfect time, believe it or not.

I didn’t know that you still had the Siduna. Are you still impressed with it? I must admit that it’s growing on me, especially the fly back version.

Yes, still impressed, very much so. It is a very quietly competent watch. I've worn it SUP surfing all this week.

No, the instantaneous reset and restart is not a complication I would use, so I saved my money and bought the standard one

Flyback would be nice to have but nothing more than that. Having just checked that there is a $1000 difference in price between the 2 versions, I definitely think you made the right choice.
