They are £4500.
Just seen this as it was a link in an email to me.
4 left. So presumably 496 have sold?

When you look long into an abyss, the abyss looks long into you.........
Surely worth the £4.6k to join Nick and the KM inner circle.
This Bremont Kingsman Steel watch is one of the three and is seen on the wrists of the stars in the movie, including Bremont co-founder Nick English who makes a cameo appearance in the film as one of the Kingman.
Does it have artistic splatters of paint on the dial!
Bizarre it showed me £100,000 on their website?

I don't get it...your link is to the Kingsmen special edition and others are posting the standard Alt 1-B chrono? The Kingsmen edition doesn't give a price, it says you have to contact the Bremont "concierge"...a phrase that always tells me you are about to pay double the actual price of what it's worth!
No one is paying £100k for that watch.

Never done drugs ever.
Well alcohol but not drugs.
Nick & Giles sent me the email. Which sadly I deleted. But inviting me to look at an investment piece. Not sure if they’d done drugs as I could never justify that much on a watch.

That will be because it's no longer available. Bremont were involved with the first Kingsman film but not the second so that limited edition has run its course. There may be the odd watch in a dealer somewhere, possibly preowned.
There's very little difference between the Kingsman and the standard Alt1-B so if you like the former but you can't get hold of one, why not consider the latter?
Wtf
Terra Nova £100k?
One sold last week on eBay for £3k

They are a competent watch assembly company who box well above their weight through astute marketing.
Including scraps of cloth, timber and metal does not improve the horological worth of their 'limited editions'
No my bin has auto empty.
But hey people will believe what they want to believe.
Doubters doubt what they want to doubt.
I’m not a fan of Bremont, I don’t own one, not sure I would. But I don’t really slag them off either. I get emails from various watch manufacturers.
This one just surprised me.

They are an excellent manufacturer and assembly company who employ an awful lot people in the UK, make high quality timepieces, some of which are like nothing available from other manufacturers. The 'scraps' of material as you call them have worth to the people buying the watches and that's all that matters. They are a company where you can go to a launch and the founders will quite happily have a chat with you, whoever you are and their staff (or at least the ones I've met) are as committed to the brand as the founders.
They may box above their weight, they're certainly doing a good job of it. Any other watch manufacturers currently building multi million pound headquarters in the UK?
Yeah, I should have returned the email for clarification. I had the sponsorship email at the same time.
One of my mates has been and met with One of em,
He had bought a Bremont, but fancied another. They gave him his money back on the one he bought and he then got a new edition.
Not aware of many that would do that.

Do the many Rolex fans here work for the charity foundation that is Rolex?

I fail to understand your point. Or should I counter it by saying that the far more important number of people NOT employed by the brothers, in their vast majority, couldn’t care less about what they do or don’t do?
At the end of the day, they build the factory they think they need where they want, employ who they want, design the watch they like and sell at the price they choose.
The public will then take those 4 criteria (or just the last 2) and decide to buy, or not.
'Against stupidity, the gods themselves struggle in vain' - Schiller.
I think you've just made my point.
Bremont is appealing to those who want a good quality watch that is at least in part, manufactured in Great Britain. So they've built a state of the art facility, in Great Britain, are employing people from Great Britain with an overall aim of bringing watch manufacturing on a large scale back to Great Britain. Like any challenge it will take time but they seem be doing a good job so far.
In your opinion which you're entitled to although you have no factual basis to make that statement.
How to lose £1196 or just over 30% in 2 months.

Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.

No dog in this fight but this line kinda jumped out at me,
'The 'scraps' of material as you call them have worth to the people buying the watches and that's all that matters.'
I humbly suggest that it's the inclusion of the various bits and bobs which put many people off their products, sullies the company a wee bit, it's all just rather naff, too gimmicky.
Just my opinion.
I commented on Bremont’s Facebook page. See attached. IMG_3053.JPG

Why you think that has any bearing on your opinion I have no idea? You could pick a watch at random from almost any major brand and it would have close to the same deprecation from new and whether it is 2 months or 2 years old is irrelevant, it's still pre-owned at that point. I did the same with a recent release Tag Monza and found one on eBay at around 40% off.
Also, reverting back to your enthusiasm about cars, you'll no doubt be aware that the deprecation on most of those isn't great either. \
You do seem to have a bias against Bremont for some reason?
I can see that but at the same time I'm in two minds about it. I think the way in which those 'bits and bobs' are used in the design of the watches is exceptional, the rotor in the Bremont Hercules is a work of art in my opinion and the back of the Bremont Hawking is also rather nice. However, when they market the idea of using slivers of wood from a desk drawer I do squirm a little bit. Never the less, there are a few of the Bremont watches that include those bits and bobs that are commanding higher pre-owned prices than their rrp so it can't all be bad news.
A bit gimmicky, well yes, maybe, but then there have always been watches in history that have used gimmicks. Bremont sometimes choose 'gimmick' to market & sell a watch; a sliver of canvas from the Wright Flyer, a piece of dust from Turings desk, a chunk of timber from the Spruce Goose. So what, if people like to have that, then why not. I personally can't get on with the grinding churn of Omega Limited editions, Speedy Tuesday, Snoopy this, DSOM that, Olympic games, Seamaster, etc., etc. But, I do like diversity, so although not my cup of tea, I quite enjoy the idea that companies do this in whatever field.
The boss has posted a video on the Timefactors FB site for Bremont unveiling their new facility and ability to book factory tours. Apologies if already posted.
You asked if I had any evidence they were overvalued. I never said others weren't overvalued as well, although probably not to the extent of £12k for the watch in the OP. Still available by the way so the 120 haven't exactly flown out the door.
I realise that cars depreciate having bought 3 in the last 5 years. I wouldn't disagree about that at all.
I'm not a fan of Bremont, I already admitted that. But some of their models seem better value than the watch/carhire/clock combo. You do seem to be a fan of theirs, perhaps you are a little bit biased as well?
Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.
No I don’t think so, they say they are not making their own movements at the moment. So they’ve admitted they buy in movements to modify.

I like Bremont but I agree this stuff adds no value to a watch in my eyes. That said, I love the Hercules design so look past the gimmicky aspect.
I feel exactly the same way about the Explorer and the gimmicky marketing around most 'famous' watches. I don't care one jot which driver or actor or astronaut wore a version of the watch I'm buying. If the design & build are good then I'll like the watch. Thankfully, most of the sought after watches don't tick that first box for me, or have other models I prefer so it saves some money.
It's probably only the Explorer & 60s Autavia that I like the most sought after models the best.
