For starters it is a watch with a rich history although that has clearly been milked to death over the years by Omega with the numerous versions and limited editions that have appeared, it is still a watch that people want to own.
Purists want the standard moonwatch, collectors can go back to the pre-moon and pre-professional models and those lovely limited editions in as many colours as a tube of Smarties have something for everyone.
I've owned a few, an Ed White, 2 x Silver Snoopy (god, I wish I still had one of those, £30k to £35k now!!!), a tritium moonwatch, 35th anniversary Apollo XI Panda, the first Speedy Tuesday and the automatic 'reduced'.
Christ, didn't realise I had worked my way through so many.
