Some bloody impressive collections here gents!

Can I just check, is this the SS Pepsi? The hands and indices look gold. Is it a trick of the light?

It is! Same watch as in the photo above it where the color looks more normal. Keen eye :)

    That's a treat to see!

Which one gets the most wrist time? And do you have a favourite?

The Reverso is my current daily for work and I also find myself reaching for the day date when going out these days. My favourite is definitely the AP Jumbo though

Here is my modest 4. I would like to add a chrono next and then a dress watch.

Chrono - would have liked a VC overseas or a Daytona on a strap but now outside of my means. Maybe a Breguet Type XXI (steel or rose). Could be too big for my wrist.

Dress - either a Breguet classique 7174 with white enamel dial or Patek Calatrava 5115 with white enamel dial. Suggestions and contributions to the fund raising welcome!

Thanks John! The Tissot is definitely a favourite! Yeah, the Sub and Speedmaster will be handed down to my Children I'd imagine.

The state of the collection thread

I have limited the collection of none beaters to 5. ( so they all get worn and I still have a roof above my head )

I still like clear dials, adequate water resistance for swimming, no date if available in the model line up, brand heritage and no potentially scratch-able exterior AR coating.

Although they are similar the sizes range from 39mm to 47mm they include handwound, automatic and quartz movements and all suit and wear different strap types.

The FXD is the most recent addition and I now think that after over trying 40 watches over many years that I am finally at the end. ( Although I have previously thought this ).

    Left to right
    Tudor Pelagos FXD
    Smiths Prs-29b ( double dome )
    Panerai 425 S.L.C.
    Tudor BB58
    Seiko Marinemaster Sbbn015.

I reckon that’s a great collection you have there - I’ve owned 3 of them at one time or another, currently have an identical BB58 that I’m pretty much wearing constantly for nearly 3 months since I bought it,and with night time positioning I can keep absolutely spot on to the second. Find myself wearing a GW5000U the rest of the time, and everything else stays in the watch box! - if I were to add a third to the rotation, it would be an FXD but right now I’m happy!
Ps just 40??!! I must be over 100 easily now, you’ve done rather well imho!!

I love that sub. I need to add either that or the two-tone bluesy. Nice photo too.

That blancpain is sublime. If they weren’t going for stupid prices these days I would move the 114060 for that. Enjoy !

Left to right: Tudor BB58, CWC RN 300 80-81 auto diver, CWC RN quartz diver, Seiko Tuna 7549-6010, Seiko SLA043.

I have the bracelet for the Tudor but the leather strap suits it. I have rubber straps for the Seikos but they look better on Nato straps.

First four arrived via SC, the SLA043 via a WTB. In the last few years I decided I didn’t really need more than two or three. But both the CWC and the Tuna have arrived within the last week. No variety in dial colour or style but they suit me just fine.

That’s a collection that’s right up my street, I’ve had very similar recently in my collection of 5 ( My Seiko is a Sbbn015, BB58 and recently sold my CWC 83 reissue to help fund an FXD)

Apologies for the terrible pictures but it is late here and pretty dark so this is the best I can do at the moment with my phone. I will try to take some decent shots at some point!

So this is the current collection, pretty happy where I am at although there are always a few on the list to add!

Also have these waiting back in the UK

Oh and my Mrs seems to have “borrowed” this one
