    Strap Repair Advice Please

    Is it not missing all the metal sections? It looks like you have the rubber base but not the metal 'skeleton' for want of a better description.

    they aren't metal they are ceramic, but I understand what you are saying, all the ceramic bits are on the existing perished rubber and are all individual AFAIK

    So is there a magic trick to get 30 ceramic links on to the new rubber skeleton ?

    A warm soapy water soak I'd suggest. For the rubber sections obviously!!

    An absolute pain to do! Be careful when pulling ceramic links through as the soft rubber bit can break quite easily. without going to too much detail when I spoke with Junghans distributors about it they said one of their clients used a certain 'lubricant' from a pharmacy!! Not tried it myself though

    A former dive club member swore by 'vet lube' - I'm not entirely sure what for, I didn't like to ask!
