    Yaphet Kotto passes away

Sad to read the passing of one Yapphet Kotto aged 81, in the Philippines

From Alien as Parker, Midnight Run as agent Mowsley and supporting actor in the Running Man with Arnold Schwarzenegger .

I think we can all remember him complimenting Roger Moore on his 'particularly handsome wristwatch'in Live and Let Die as Dr Kananga or Mr Big.

Apologies if it's been mentioned already

    RIP

Was saddened by this news today. Midnight Run has been a particular favourite for years now, and he is very good in it! In fact, everyone in it gives a great performance.

    RIP

If his passing makes you look for a Kotto movie to watch, make it Paul Schrader's 'Blue Collar'.

Wonderful actor and brought himself from the mean streets of Harlem to have an amazing career I wonder If He and Brett ever got their bonus?Wouldn't have done 'Em any good in light of what happened to them onboard the Nostromo.

His pick for me is FBI Agent Alonzo Mosely - a fab comic turn away from his usual serious/darker roles.

A decent innings and a great legacy; RIP.
