Agreed. However, boring sometimes is the chef's kiss.

When sunlight hits the dial, I remember why I like this one so much!

I reckon that Eddie has single-handedly put Smiths back on the map. How much do you reckon this would be worth before the PRS-25? I am not complaining. I like seeing the watches being appreciated for what they are. And by Jove they are pretty.

Been enjoying lately on silicone band. Iíve thought about selling and getting new Explorer but I donít think it would fill the want of having something close to a 1016. The new Explorer is just too blingy for my taste. I think Iíll regret selling this one.

I wonder if there's any chance of the 40mm making a return?

I have had the same thought after enjoying my Everest so much, to try a Rolex, but to make this happen I would have to go through the laborious and painstaking process of selling all of my affordable watches, and then still face a difficult financial commitment if I could even find a new Explorer to buy.

Oh well, maybe I will try this route if I receive a windfall, or if I reach the point where I am convinced that I could be happy with just one watch. I have not worn my Newmark 6BB reissue for ages, but on a whim I pulled it out a few days ago and am thrilled with it again, so at least for now I would rather keep my Everest and my others than trade them all for one Rolex.

Iíve debated for years but at the end of the day if Rolex offered modern painted number explorer then I would go for it.
