interesting video, i think it exploded at 1300mts which isn’t bad considering it’s a 200mt watch

Amazing really! Anyone know why it stopped running at 800m?

Maybe compressed enough so the glass was touching the hands and stopping them turning.

I think it was the entire movement expanding by a millimetre or so.

Very good - seeing glass crack, water ingress, air-bubbles to destruction.
And, crown guards are not just to help with dings.

Good video, reassuring for turtle owners.

I'm genuinely surprised and impressed in equal measure. For it all makes a mockery of the stated rating it's very satisfying to know you're definitely safe with it in the shower.

Wasn't there a similar test carried out where an Amphibia managed 1000m+ before failing? It seems if a watch is well built and designed for 200m then generally it should take a lot more. Always interesting, and very dramatic when it did 'let go'.

Read something couple of years ago about visiting one of Seiko factories and asking about why doesn't Seiko make watches with more than 1000m WR. They said that they doubled the maximum operational human depth and that that is enough.
And then you have this video.

No cracks or leaking, probably just glass pressing the hands.

Very impressive but I'm probably biased being a bit of a Tuna fan.

Found this today from the same guys
Testing one of the DSSD homages
Impressive water resistance for a cheap watch.
