Birth year Rolex

Hi all, my wife would like a birth year Rolex (lucky me!) for her 40th this year and I wondered if anyone had any advice of where best to source one from? I’ve looked on C24, Watchfinder and Miltons so far.

Also, most I’ve seen so far have no papers so is it even possible to accurately identify what specific year it is from?

You can guesstimate based on serial number

Please note that Rolex watches did sit around for a while back then so a sales receipt may not accurately represent when the watch was manufactured.
