    Little leather projects

Anyone else making little leather goods?
Not that mine is anywhere near hermes quality but I wasn't happy with the kind of leather watch rolls I could buy on internet so I thought about making my own, and so did I yesterday.
Fairly happy with it but there's always room for improvement.
    What do you think?

This one is made with nice leather and the part containing the watches is a very soft suede leather

Looks nice, the stitching looks very neat as well.
Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.

I like it. Would be interested in getting a single slot pouch if you ever decide to sell these.

I've not really sold any before but I'll send you a pm with the leather I have if you want to have a look, we can discuss about what you want then

Looking good Wandril. Have you tried burnishing the cut edges? If not, have a go with an offcut.
I have tried using a grinding wheel on a bench grinder, and keep threatening to try a hardwood dowel in the chuck of a pillar drill.

Dowel in a drill would be perfect. If you're able to add a concave shape to the dowel it would be even better.

I use something like this in a dremel: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/274553551682 .

    Thank you!
I usually do it on my straps, or use some edge paint depending what style I'm going for, but for some reason, this specific leather does not really burnish on the edge, so I thought I would leave it as it is.

I do everything by hand usually, burnishing included.
Asking me some more efforts but usually I'm quite happy with it

I guessed so from the burnisher on your bench.

I got the dremel one to do a longer project (dog lead) which I couldn't face doing by hand....now its there hand burnishing seems like a lot of work!

Haha for sure when you have the option it's hard to go backward!
Same goes for hand stitching vs machine I reckon!

A few more I made, for myself or friends
The one with the deployant clasp is a replacement for a broken alpina strap, which can be seen next to it

Looking good. I dabble with leather craft off and on. Can quite get watch straps right, but have made a few cases, knife rolls etc.

Nice to know they're some other people trying to craft with leather here!

A little precision, as it seems to be the trend here, when in doubt, to be judged guilty rather than not:

I have absolutely no intent selling any leather good here. I said it was meant for myself and some people I know, and it actually means that

Happy to see other people's creations if they feel like they want to share it
