I am in between finding a strap to suit the new Railmaster. I had the Erika's for the Explorer 2 that I had and thought I would give it a go on RM.
What do you think? If the orange stripe was faded it would be great! These things are flippin' comfy to wear (both strap and watch).
It will do until I find a nice leather or fabric strap for it.
That's almost awful enough to earn a place in the perfect strap/watch combination thread.
I jest a little. I don't think it looks awful, but it's a bit preppy for my tastes.
No offence taken chaps, I do have the bracelet but don't get along with them generally. In hindsight I should of got the strap version!

I find an Erikas suits just about any sport/casual watch (at least the ones I’ve got) I’ve got around half a dozen MN straps, and wear them regularly. I find it looks best if the strap colour is matched to the dial - which perhaps this one doesn’t so much. IMO would suit a black MN strap with SS hardware more.
Voice of dissent - I think it's a good match to the watch. It's fundamentally a tool watch, so this kind of strap isn't out-of-place. Perhaps find the thread where the chap was fading the hell out of fabric straps to find out how to make the orange a bit less... er... orange.
I agree with Skippy - I think you need some continuity of colour. Here’s my Chopard on an Erika Original, with (hopefully) the orange strap matching the Chopard’s hands and indices.

I’ve seen much worse, but I think it looks great on the bracelet.

Thanks for all of your comments, and I have changed my mind about the Erika's, noted about the dial colour.
I will try a black one on it at some stage. I found my old Citizen Ray Mears strap and I think this is The One, for now!
Your Chopard looks great in that photo, I need to pay more attention to the details like that.

It looks good and is nice to change it up even if it is for a day or so.
Ignore the negative comments. I’m not sure why people have to be down right nasty.
Whilst I prefer it on the bracelet I think it looks perfectly fine on the Erika's - and better than on a 'normal' NATO
I also prefer it on a bracelet.
I’d have a look at a sail cloth style strap which will make the watch a touch more sporty . Or it could be glossed back up with a brown leather strap either alligator or fake alligator ( as I’d wear )
Do you like it? Job done.
Gone for this setup.
I like it. And if you do that’s all that matters.
Just to be annoying I thought I may as well post it on a Tropic!
Hi Electron, I thought the Omega looked great on the Erika strap.
Great looking watch, and unappreciated I think.
I think it works on straps, but I perfer it on the bracelet

Going against the grain, I think it's a fairly bland looking watch on a bracelet. If it were mine I'd be trying to dress it up a bit. Not sure about the OP though, but I would be thinking about something along those lines.
Error post
I like it on the Erika, I am a lot less sure about the Citizen Ray Mears Kevlar one later on.
I like the tropic too, it looks good, but is a little oncongruous in terms of being a dive strap on a decidedly land-lubbing watch.

I was messing around with the strap chooser thing on the Omega website trying to think what would work best with it, and actually I think the standard strap Omega sell with it looks really good:
I guess the lesson is leave it to the professionals
I like my bracelets on my watches but I like that strap ^ is that the herring bone strap? Think that's what it's called?
Prefer it on the bracelet.
However I thought this Erika combo was pretty good !!

I looked on the Omega site and could't see the herring bone strap for sale. Perhaps I need to email Omega directly to see whether they will sell me one.
Thank you for all the responses by the way.
Still waiting for Omega to call me about the herring bone strap so I have fitted this one, initially I didn't like it but it's grown on me now.
Stick on the bracelet and leave it there - at least that’s what I do. But I do prefer bracelets in general.
Erika’s are comfortable though and the combination wasn’t he worst.

Looks good. I'd keep chasing the Omega version though.
There might be some here that will look good with it, particularly the tweed herringbone or the leather ones:

I like the Railmaster on the bracelet but I think a vintage looking leather strap might suit it.
Something like this one from Andrea at Martu straps perhaps.
Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.
Bit of an old post but I'll chuck my 2 cents in anyway as it's been bumped.
I think that Erika's in the OP looks nice on the Omega. I like a good bracelet, but I also think variety can make a watch versatile and keep it fresh.
Judging by some of the responses, I hesitate to admit my Explorer spends most of it's life on a £13 silicone strap
