    Copper Dials

I have an irrational itch for a copper dial. Apart from Ming - are there other options ?

Sinn did a lovely copper dial chrono,
"Once is happenstance. Twice is coincidence. The third time it's enemy action."

Lundis Bleus do some copper'ish dials but I think they are actually made of brass looking at the specs.
Sartory Billard definitely do copper dials and have a similar number track style to them that the Ming does.

There must be some in the Seiko Pressage line as well...

Edit: Just looked at the SB site and can't see a copper dial but was sure someone had a custom one so maybe worth asking.
anOrdain use copper as the base metal for their standard enamel dials as well so they might create something bespoke for you.

I was going to mention the Sinn, that one is a beauty!

You certainly don't see many, I think Fears did one.

This one isn't called copper (is classed as rose dial) but copper is certainly how it looks.

EDIT found the Fears, they call it Salmon.

Love this! It has a fantastic retro vibe to it which I seem to be drawn towards with a lot of watches at the moment.
I've seen a few Brew watches I like but this is the first that has really stood out.

I agree, I am not personally too keen on the smooth or brushed copper dials, but this kind of concentric pattern like on the Brew or the 356 copper are really bringing it to life!

I also wonder if there is some sort of coating on the dial or if it just is raw copper.
If it was the latter, that would mean the dial could get darker as the watch gets older and gets exposed to humidity

Thank you - I didn't realise Habring made copper dials - I like both of those...

The Sinn is nice too - but from the pictures I've seen it appears to be more gold than copper ?

Those Habring chronographs really appeal, from a brand I have not heard of before. Any idea how much they cost? I could not find any prices on the Habring web site. Is it a case of, if you need to ask, you can’t afford it? Honestly, for an unknown brand I find it almost impossible to guess at their price bands just from photos. Are we talking 100s, 1000s, 10000s?

High 1,000's I think. They are lovely.

The Pinion is very nice also.

The re-edition carrera has always been my favourite copper-coloured dial. The subdials break it up a bit and prevent reflection off the surface. The colour can look a bit washed out in sunlight.

I had a datejust with a salmon dial as well, but it never quite hit the spot. I think it was the Roman numerals rather than the dial colour in the end. I just prefer batons.

Is the heuer one of the 1996 re edition?
I was aware of the two black dials, the white dial and the gold case, but not this one

    It's a Lundis Bleus.
Probably a bit over-priced for what they are but the dials are excellent. There are still a few of their cheaper 1st editions on Chrono24 but they are also still seen as somewhat expensive for the movement.

Habring are sold in the UK by Stewarts Watches. They have a number of models listed on their site and I'm sure could provide a price for others.
