Amazing to think that these boats were hitting close to 100 kph! (50 knots).

Ive said it before on here , one of the cameraman is my mil neighbours son. He is a professional drone pilot but the organisers wanted more water based footage. You can see why! He bobs about on those pursuit boats.......vomit inducing or what, motion and concentration
During the finals they captured the Ineos boat above and the eventual winner Luna Rossa going around the buoys together in sequence, on their foils it was stunning footage.

Amazing.
Does anyone know where that footage was shot?
And how are the foils raised and lowered - via an electric motor or by hand (winch?)?
I didn't realise they went that fast , amazing footage . Thanks for posting .
Thats is awesome - amazing how it can do an about turn so quickly. I wanna have a go ......................!!
They are practically flying..

My brother was heavily involved with the Americas cup for a few years - I watched him leaping from the support boats onto each yacht during the last cup (making sure they’re within the rules etc) - I’m not into sailing so we’ve never talked about it much tbh, but he spent a fair few years doing an insane amount of global travel checking each boat was within the rules to very tight tolerance, setting rules, then worked on the Volvo Ocean race after that - I really should pay it more attention!

The other impressive factor is that the are sailing at three or four times the wind speed.
