Took me a minute to realise what the sub dial at 6 was for. What’s wrong with a date window?!

SPB217/219/221/223/225 which look like they’re using the Presage Sharp Edge case and dial designs together with a 6R64 GMT movement.
This is a true traveler GMT movement with independent hour hand. I believe it was introduced a couple of years ago in the SBEJ001 Landmaster.
I think these are rather smart and It’s about time there was a reasonably priced traveler GMT from Seiko.

I agree, that date wheel makes the dial look so cluttered

I agree it’s great to have a alternative GMT offerings which aren’t ETA based.
Not sure about the overall execution here. It seems a bit busy, what with the four hands, date subdial, power reserve, textured dial, plus numbered bezel.
It’s a swing and a miss from me but excited to see what they come out with next! Maybe a non-LX GMT diver
Its not a looker. The date dial is awful, I do not know why watch designers use them.
Hopefully more watches with this movement come out in the near future. A rugged pilots watch or diver with god lume would be nice
It’s design is limited by the 6R64 movement. I believe this is the only Seiko GMT movement amongst their affordable ranges. After this the next options are spring drives and the GS 8R movements which make for expensive watches.
So much potential to make a great value GMT here, but agree with others - the dial is way too fussy. Remove the two sub dials and it’s a very nice watch.
Yes the orient star seeker does it better
Dial too fussy to my liking
