No, it's steel. The Aquatimer GST watches were released in 1998 and came in 3 versions - the 3536-01 was the Titanium watch with black dial, the 3536-02 was the steel watch black dial, and this is the 3536-03 which has a silver dial and gold hands. They were discontinued in 2004.

The -01 & -02 were produced in relatively high numbers but only around 500 units of the -03 were made. I had a 3536-02 for some years that I bought direct from IWC, but when I was offered this I had to have it, and couldn't justify keeping both. This is a photo I took before the 3536-03 came in - the only one of those watches I still own is the Ingenieur

Some very nice watches in this thread. I'm wearing my recent incoming, the watch Nivada designed for Antarctic expeditions (operation deep freeze specifically) in the run-up to International Geophysical Year (1958). Mine is a later 60s watch in the same distinct case.

    Have a good one, everybody!

Last day of rotation for this today. There's been an astonishing accuracy from the 8800 co-ax this wearing cycle. Since I started wearing it on 3rd Feb it's been at +/-0 secs per day!

This was the last golden age of IWC - great looking, high quality, tough watches. I absolutely love these. And in a world in which certain brands’ second hand prices are ballooning out of control, these still represent very good value.

A new one for me, Submariner 124060. It's been a long wait but haven't had to play any silly games with the AD, just waited it out and eventually got a call.

    Arnie Re-issue

    Happy Friday everyone!

I'm still wearing the Arnie and it's currently in a time trial for February, with my DW-5600-E and Citizen diver BN0151-09L. So far it's gained 1.5 seconds in 19 days which gives it an accuracy of + 28 seconds a YEAR. Happy with that. :)
