    New watch auction site

Not sure if anyone has seen this but the people behind collectingcars.com are doing a new site called watchcollecting.com.
They are promising cheap commission, the car site has been very successful so far.

Hmmm, minimum £600 fee rather restricts the lower end of the market, does it not?

The car site has been doing really well, because the fees are very low compared with other auction houses, not just the high end stuff, but including low cost cars.
I guess WatchCollecting, which is what he's called it, will do well though.

Unfortunately setting a minimum £600 buyers fee effectively kills the £6000 and under market. I think a lot of sales are under 6k in the collecting world. Chrono24 are 6.5% and eBay are all going to be better value for most sellers, it’s a shame really an opportunity missed.
