I'd have the Victor nose in a heartbeat!
In fact, if I ever come into serious money I'm goign to buy one. That's a promise!
Need a project for lock-down, there's a few to choose from!

Shame it’s all being offered in one lot, my step father was ground crew on the Vulcan
That’s really cool. Thanks for the heads up. My Mum’s partner was a squadron leader on Vulcan command (on the engineering side) so will see if I can get something for his birthday!
I can only imagine the pain my wife would inflict on me if I turned up with that.
My mate had a Vulcan pilots seat a few months back, he didn’t know what to do with it so put it in a local auction, I was tempted..
I'm looking for a garden office. One of those will fit the bill nicely. Plus Mrs. W like aeroplanes so might not have to spend so much time on the sofa bed either.
Oh I would love any one of those four. Sadly even one is likely to be way beyond my budget!
I haven't but as long as I have room for a laptop, a monitor and a chair I'll be fine. Perhaps one of the Victors will be better.
Actually, the less room the better. Then there is less scope for the Mrs to fill it up with crap that there is no longer room for in the attic.
If you ask very nicely at Carlisle, they will let you inside both their Vulcan and Canberra. The Vulcan especially has something of the Tardis about it and the climb up from the hatch to the cockpit is a real eye opener. The cockpit may be small, but the overall crew compartment is deep.

Who’d have chosen to be a nav in a PR9...entry via swinging the nose open.

I played golf occasionally at the works course at Avro in Woodford. The shelters on the tees are Vulcan nose cones

Fascinating - I'd love one but don't think I'd get away with it.
Has anyone got any idea how much a bomber cockpit would go for?
So clever my foot fell off.
I spent some of my time in the services at 543 Squadron RAF Wyton where I was involved with the Victors there, doing Photo Reconnaissance and Aerial Survey. Great times, this is what they looked like back then.....
Looking at the condition of those cockpits, it gives you some idea of what was required to get a Vulcan flying again.
I'm not sure about that specific seat but old aircraft seats converted into chairs seem to be a staple feature in most RAF flight commander offices. I had a shackleton and an andover seat in my last two. Unfortunately, damn heavy and a nightmare if you wanted to move it round the office, and they started to look pretty tatty.
You could have had a whole one...link. Sad to see it go, but pragmatic...
