Thread: Great practical jokes

    Great practical jokes

Our son is back with us at home at the moment. He is a bit of a prankster and has caught my wife and I out on several occasions recently.

We are wanting to get him back with a great practical joke. Looking to play the long game and hopefully get him hook, line and sinker! Anyone played a good practical joke recently? Looking for some ideas for inspiration. Thanks.

Move all his possessions in to the garage and put a "to let" sign outside the house

A ‘letter’ from a recent girlfriend saying she is pregnant? - actually a bit cruel, so maybe not.

Tell him that he’ll shortly be getting a little brother or sister.

Has he got his own TV?

There is a YouTube video that emulates a broken screen, play it on the TV, assuming you can, and pretend you knocked it an broke the screen.

One of my friends kids had him with this on a £3000 tv. He lost his rag and they filmed him. Very amusing.

Not the long game, but great harmless instant effect, fun and humiliation for those on the receiving end

I would recommend not pranking him.

Whatever you do will be small change compared with the stuff he can find online and it will escalate. Some of it can go badly wrong. And he is likely to be filming it.

    It's a phase.

At that price I am not sure who is pranking who

    Good advice methinks.

Draw up some convincing looking adoption paperwork dated from when he was very young. Put it somewhere he'll eventually find it

Would there be by any chance an extinct volcano visible from his bedroom window?
If there is, sneak up to its peak very early, before he gets up, with a pile of scrap car tyres and set them alight.

I wouldn’t mess with a youngster when it comes to technology.

I would be inclined to go for a simple "listen, you wee dick, quit f**king around or you'll find yourself living under a bridge with no inheritance."

Any suggestions are a Very Bad Idea.

Dad should not prank son unless Dad is prepared for retaliation. Who knows what form that might take but good luck.

Even just leaving the last completed paperwork on the table will suffice.

Hi we had a practical joker at work once who was “owed a few”
He always used to use the same shower at the end of the shift.....
Just before time, the shower head was unscrewed and carefully filled with Bisto granules....
Took days to get the smell out of his hair and the dog wouldn’t leave him alone, apparently .
