I've just seen the Bark & Jack video about this new alliance of British Watchmakers. Would be great to see Time Factors in there too.
Eddie, have you been approached by them?

Yes thanks for sharing this; more industry out there then you realise great to see.
I listened to this Podcast with Roger Smith discussing it which is worth a listen. I meant to post the details on here but forgot.

Neither are the Danbury Mint!
Fair thought, but I imagine the aim here is to improve the British watch sector as a global force rather than indulge in anti-competitive activities, or stitch-up the consumer. Most sectors have central representative bodies to facilitate trade and encourage export trade, eg the British Cheese Board (genuine name!).
Robert Loomes not a member... or Schofield... or Charles Frodsham.
Is Hoptroff still about?

Costume jewellery. Ouch!!!
I think it's a great idea. If for example, multiple brands could source, say mainsprings from a UK specialist, then we'd get more % of a watch 'made in the UK'. I too am interested as to why Bremont haven't gotten on board as it would seem to suit what they're trying to achieve.
