Such a beautiful watch, Cant get the very subtle sunburst to show unfortunately, but at least the numerals are showing how thickly applied they are :0)

A watch with some history to it today...the Omega Suveran was introduced by Omega after WWII and manufactured exclusively for the Swedish government, who in turn sold the watches directly to Swedish citizens. A policy designed to help boost the Swedish economy after WWII and break the economic dependency on Germany....now there’s an idea (I might send Mr Sunak a note!).

This one is a gilt gloss dial, now turning a nice shade of chocolate brown...

Regretted not buying it for ages after as the exchange rate was crazy at the time and I did have the money spare.

Had completely forgotten the model until seeing this pic, at least now I know what it was, it jumped out at me immediately. Might buy one someday(not this year as have an incoming and expensive repair to pay for) just to right and old wrong, I still think it looks great.

It is a great watch imho.
But a matter of taste, as design is a bit controversial...
In my view this model is unjustly marginalized.

Case design is quite unique and guaranteed to fit under shirt.

I was lucky to find unmolested piece.
