Don't see many with two sub dials, though this unusual vertical Seiko cost the princely sum of £103 delivered new. However more seriously look at Longines.
I’m a fan of symmetry in most things. I like cars with exhaust pipes on both sides, houses with the front door in the middle, and I like watches with symmetrical faces. I know, I’m weird.
A lot of chronographs with 3 sub dials seem to have them vertically on the left which messes with my head. That’s why I like the Speedmaster with the sub dials at 3,6 and 9. However, it occurs to me that there might be some even more symmetrical chronographs with only 2 sub dials.
Can anyone recommend one that I could pick up for less than £2500?
Thanks in advance

If you don't mind vintage watches - a lot of Universal Geneve Uni-compax can still be bought for less than 2k:)
For microbrands, the Baltic Bicompax is really handsome (for about 4 or 500 pounds I think), and there's Kurono
How about a Sinn 158? It's a limited edition but I think you can still find them for around that price. The Sinn X Revolution Dark Star 155 is lovely and originally retailed for that price but is selling for a premium on the secondary market, I think. Both watches are relatively large and thick but if you have the wrist for them look good to my eye.

Just remembered the Hanhart 417es which was released last year. Great looking and reasonably priced. They sold well though so I think there will be a delay before delivery if you order now.
Montblanc 1858 chronograph has a soothingly balanced look.
The guinand starfighter is also amazing;

And the siduna m3440 is my pick!

If you want proper symmetry, Google ‘Valjoux 7740’ not two registers but running seconds at 6 so nicely balanced.

Rare_watches on insta.
Guy has some serious twin register filth for sale.
If you like a decent sized watch (45mm but wears smaller) then I can recommend this.

There's a couple of Poljot Okeahs on SC right now. A classic design that also has some space travel pedigree:
Breitling Premier B01 is the best, but nowhere near £2500 so not much help.
Within budget, the Hamilton is the right answer as people have already said.
You could probably pick up a Heuer Monaco for that kind of money I'd have thought?
Tudor. In steel, its about £3k rrp but might find it a bit cheaper(?), also interest free and I think no stupid wait times. That Hamilton further down on the Milanese bracelet looks lovely. Chronomaster has these https://www.chronomaster.co.uk/watch...ue-108+-+1120/ and also a lovely Omega Dynamic at £1560

If you're interested in vintage watches, I've always thought the Seiko 6138-8020 "Panda" has a nicely balanced dial.
What's more (shameless plug), there happens to be a lovely example in Sales Corner at the moment.

New and in budget I would recommend
Siduna M3440 (I have one, it is excellent for the money, automatic)
Hanhard 417ES (as above, excellent, but handwinding)
A-13A chrono (no subdials at all, so totally symmetrical, quartz but excellent at a fraction of budget)
I own all the above and recommend them totally.
Of ones I do not own, I think Guinand need a good look, there is a lot of spec in their range for the money.
All the above are at least 100m WR and can be used for everything you do. Many others are not so well specified.

I mainly collect vintage chrono's, many of which are two register but if I was in the market for a new two reg I would look no further than the Hamilton panda.
Great VFM and a looker.
Cheers,
Neil.
For less than your budget you could pick up a used Christopher Ward Monopusher. Two subdials and a clever crown to operate the chronograph makes this a piece that is far more unique than any posted so far. Alternatively, have a look at the Stowa 1938 or Marine Classic.
What about a Sinn 155? Classic BUND chrono looks but a more modern watch.

I like the look of the Christopher Ward C65 Chrono...

(If we're going to try to tempt the OP over-budget I'd vote for this

@ under £4k rather than the B01 at over £6k.)
I do like a symmetrical layout. Not easy to come by but any excuse to post a snap.

Another vote for the Hamilton Intramatic Chrono. I have both colours and both are +5 secs per day, with the wonderful 7750 wobble that lets you know the watch is alive.
Pleasance and Harper have the Black and White on mesh with 15% off.........one left in stock.
I love the vintage inspired Hamiltons and Longines above;
If you love a Speedy, why not go for a two register one (..side of the moon, or a Racing model)?
Well, prices are over £2.5k for sure, but it might not be impossible with some persistent search, and/or a potential slight extension of your budget..?
I can recommend the Sinn 158:
i'm soon into one year of ownership.
You might find one of these for that kind of price?
I like the style of two register chronographs. Never owned one - my wife always says they look like a bicycle with hands at 10 and 2 and the registers below.
I’m a vintage guy and you can get lots of Valjoux 7733 chronos for less than £500; you could have a little collection going.

Omega Dynamic Chrono seems to be a bit of an underrated gem - decent ones around for well under £2K

Im on the lookout for the Geckota panda chrono, has a look of the Tag cs3110.
Best Choice in my opinion, bought it last year and put it on a Staib mesh myself, now they’ve been released with a mesh strap as standard!

Hanhart Racemaster - benefits from a scratch-resistant hardened steel case.
Slightly confusing range - each different dial colour has a different movement and slightly different functionality.
Certainly on my own long-list, FWLIW...
The Black Bay Chrono has been available for around £2.5k on leather and uses a movement based on the B01.
Cheers

The Hamilton is a real looker but if I was buying now it'd be the Hanhart Pioneer Mk II but the 80yr anniversary edition in green here https://www.hanhart.com/en/collectio...hre-jubilaeum/
I've nearly pressed the buy button a few times myself.

I think the only Bi-compax chrono I have at the moment is the Bremont Alt1-C PW
I do like the look of the Tudor though with the Breitling movement.
It's just a matter of time...
The Hanhart Admiral is another option if you want something a bit smaller than the re-release 417ES with syringe hands and no date. It comes in both black and white face with and without bracelet. However the automatic version is quite thick. I don't know if they still make this model but there are quite a few floating around, some NOS.
There's this cracking two register chronograph on Sales Corner at the moment

I’m a fan of a two register chrono as well. This is my favourite at the moment: The Sinn 358 Jubilaum...
This was a limited edition but they have a new one out recently, the 936. Big at 43mm but beautifully balanced.

What about a used Bremont Alt1?
