    RIP Brigadier Charles Ritchie

I don't know if anyone here knew Charles David Maciver Ritchie. He was a wonderful fellow and a pleasure to know. One of a kind. I will miss him. A sad loss. His obituary is here:

He finished writing his book 'Laughter Is The Best Weapon' just before he passed away and it's due to be published in the summer. I apologise if this is against forum rules but his stories of past times in the service were very amusing and I think the book will be a great read. RIP Charles.

I agree - a great obituary. It would be nice to know more about his life - and his stories.

If anyone wants to pm me, I can give you an email address for pre-ordering a copy of his book. Again, I apologise if this is breaking forum rules.
