Seiko Green LE 140th Anniversary trio

I've been waiting for the release of the green SPB207 since it was rumoured last year when the SPB185 & 187's came to market. I had assumed being an LE it would fall in to the 55th Anniversary line up to join the Willard and 62mas (SPB149) but was surprised it had a March 2021 release date. I should have known better of course. The SPB207 is one of three 140th Anniversary Prospex divers.

Still plan to pick one up but I'm also quite taken with the MM300 SLA047, although not taken with the €3300 price given it is a relative high LE run out of 3000 units.

The SLA047 looks pretty good apart from the bezel, sweep hand and date window, shame about the price but not a deal breaker considering.

The 207 looks very, very nice. I’m already a fan of the 185 so that would complement it rather nicely.

Spb207 does look great indeed. I like the changes to the new mm200 models and this color scheme looks great!

A lot of debate on that one. Mostly for the mm300 version as that is a change to previous models.

Would stop me buying and I'm not one of the people who are precious about the Prospex logo. Can't beat the standard SLA021 version.

Oddly I really like it in the flesh - on the SPB185 at least. Visually it seems to balance out the 9 o'clock marker when taken with the date window and despite being asymmetrical it somehow doesn't "look it".

ETA the marker on the SLA which impinges on the chapter ring does look odd, I'll agree!

Hadn’t noticed it before, now it can’t be unseen! Not the best that’s for sure.

I just saw a YouTube vid showing the SLA047, and I am quite impressed by it. Might have to move on a few from the collection to justify the buy!

Edit: After taking a look at the SLA019 I think that would be the one to go for.

I'd love that Sumo Solar as a no nonsense grab and go watch.
Got a new watch, divers watch it is, had to drown the bastard to get it!

I would do if it wasn't for the awful date window. It would look so much better without it.

True, it would, but not a dealbreaker for me.

I think I must be in a very small minority that actually prefers it! Maybe a minority of 1?!
