John Ackroyd has died. His career stretched from SR53 to the Enfield Electric Car, to Thrust2 and beyond, with many well-known employers in between. An eccentric, all-round good egg and top designer. I doubt we'll hear much about him in the news, given the current crises, so here are some links (one not up-to-date)

Top guy, when I was younger I ended up reading up on his work with thrust 2 as I had a real thing about the land speed record, as you say may well relatively unnoticed but thanks for sharing, some good material there
