If in doubt, leave it out.
Was looking with interest at a couple of things in this sellers eBay shop...as the prices seem good

On closer inspection, the constellations look like redials, photos are blurry and all the feedback relates to silver spoons.
Clearly not a specialist watch reseller, more antiques and the like, but then again, might get a bargain if I pick well...
What do people reckon? Too risky or worth a punt?
If in doubt, leave it out.
Seller does not accept returns but you're still covered by eBay's money back guarantee if you want to take a gamble.

Never buy anything with blurry pictures. Funny though when somethings correct. Image is in focus
Other Connie is a refinished dial (caliber 354)

agree that steel connie doesn't look right to me but i'm no expert.

My thoughts exactly :) My best buys to date have been from negligent sellers with blurry pictures and one sentence descriptions - got lucky so far, but it's not for the fainthearted. Latest one being yesterday a vintage Tissot chrono with a rare Lemania 872 for just £230, fingers crossed it turns out well :)
I would never buy a gold-capped watch without excellent photos or handling it first. Often the gold is worn through on the edges and lug corners, sellers will try to disguise this. Good gold-capped examples can be excellent value for money but they're few and far between.
Refinished dials are OK if they're good and the rest of the watch is good, but a refinished dial on a mediocre watch isn`t a good choice.
This seller does not impress me.
Even 'reputable' watch dealers have made a living for decades selling re-dialled / repainted dial Omega watches without declaring them as such.
It frustrates the hell out of me and I suspect some either cannot tell the difference, or think that the watch is adequate for the price. The only rule seems to be if they declare the watch to have an 'original unrefinished' dial in their sales listing (when it's not).
Nonetheless, this eBay seller's stock seems particularly sloppy - the redials have not been done to a good standard and refusing to accept returns is a problem.

Not sure I would trust a blind photographer to service a watch?
