Any watchmaker who services vintage pieces should be able to help . The crown looks a bit wonky on the photo ? Stem problem ?
Parts maybe an issue but there is always eBay for movements .
Good luck with the project

Hi all,
I am hoping someone here may be able to help me. My mother gave me one of my grandfather watches yesterday as she knows I have an interest in watches. To my surprise after wearing this for a few minutes it started to tick! This watch has not been worn since 1994.
The date and day is currently about to turn as I write this.
I would like to have this watch serviced and refurbished to the best it could be, I was considering contacting Citizen UK to see if they carry out this kind of work.
Or if anyone can recommend a suitable watch maker here I’d be delighted. Although in Dublin, I am often in Newry UK and can ship via RMSD.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Rob,
Yes the crown is definitely a bit wonky
I have emailed Richard from The Watch Spot to see if he could service it.
Also another member reached out to offer help with the case and bracelet.
I’m always still amazed at the kind level of help members offer on the forum.
Thank you
