My very first quartz, a 'delicious' SEIKO SBGN005

Just took delivery of this beauty - REALLY impressed with its appearance and finish, a real stunner

The dial changes black/blue/mauve in the sunlight - a real cracker.
Had to have one of these after reading up on the quality Seiko have achieved with their quartz watches, in particular with their 9F hand made 'works'.
    Pure perfection !

Happy days (need this these times....)

Congrats on the watch! Really like that dark shade of blue of the dial - and + or - 10 secs a year is not so bad!

If you’re going to go quartz, it’s hard to think of a better choice. I’ve not seen a GS GMT that I like before but I could certainly see myself wearing that one.

    Congratulations OP

Love these. I've been hankering for one ever since I got my first 9F powered SBGX061.

    Congratulations!

This would be the perfect GMT for me. Great size, incredible quality finishing, HAQ.

Sadly it might be a while before I need to track a second time zone.

Congratulations the best one of the lot for me. Love the blue dial!

Congrats! It's a great watch and the dial is lovely. Do you mind me asking, did you manage to get a deal if you bought new?

I've had a WTB for one for ages but zero response, might go bump it again anyway :)

Each to their own! But I love the way the red GMT hand sets off the dial especially.

Had a chance to get one of these off a well respected forum member earlier in the year, during the early days of lockdown. Wish I had pulled the trigger, I think they're great! I'm a little torn between the black and blue dial versions, think the black just edges it for me.

More pics when you get a chance please!

I’d be happy with the blue or black dial with the blue just edging it due to having so many black dial watches. Definitely on my wish list at some stage if I see one at the right price.

    Cheers

As I already have 12-14 black dialled, this is a lovely blue/black (dep light) version, which frankly, is perfect !
The 2nd picture is of one I THOUGHT I would end up with, and finally bought the one in the first pic - I seem be unable to 'remove' it from here ??

The markers have a superb shape, to catch the slightest of light

    Cheers, Peter

That's absolutely lovely. What size is the case on this, I'm assuming about 40mm?

An extremely comfortable 39mm, and the smoothness of the case & bracelet is amazing !

    Fabulous dial. Superb watch.

Beautiful watches, now if GS put a Spring Drive in it and everything else stayed the same then I’d be snapping one up...
