Looks great!

Very nice, Martyn. Thought you’d keep it :)
Looks great, look forward to the full review
That’s looks great, I initially thought the white dial was the way to go but the subdials against the black look ace.
That looks as nice as I envisaged which is very nice indeed. I think I'd favour the white dial but either would do!
That’s lovely - well done.
I preferred the white dial when they were first released, but now I’m not so sure.
Very nice and tempting.
If it didn’t have a date I’d have the white one in a tenth of a second!

That’s does look fabulous but I still prefer the White dial.
Don’t see any issues with the end links there Martin but a fully brushed bracelet would be better I think.
It is now a race for me. If my Omega boutique contacts me before April with a snoopy then that will win. After that then the white dial should be more available and I think I will go for that.
Plus April is bonus month!

I got a email over these and I love the white dial.
I gather as these are a new release there will no discount?
Very, very nice! Far nicer than that other one!

I like the Look of that, I wouldn’t instantly think Daytona,? Do see Zenith and I like what I see. Available too.
Great picture Martyn

That looks ace, wonder if these will hold value?

Images just make me want it even more. Looks great.
I’m an Zenith fan and have never handled a Daytona, so I’m actually protected from most of the comparison angst. Nevertheless I will admit that Zenith sometimes doesn’t get the fine points right, like the end links. It’s stuff like this that separates a good company from a great company.

Lovely watch congrats.
Only thing holding me back is the size for my 21cm wrists.
Will have to wait until I can try one on I guess.
Had preferred the white but after seeing the black now torn.
Great it has a date function for me , but like others (purely from a scratch perspective) would have preferred a brushed centre link.
Did you get a first free service?
I like that! Hope you do too. I also think the white dial looks better but am more impressed by the black dial in your wrist shots. It's handsome.
If you’re concerned about the size - my wrist is about 17mm - fairly flat and I prefer a watch size upto 50mm lug to lug, or a bit less - this Zenith is 48mm approx lug to lug. There are plenty of larger Zenith such as the Defy 21? The chronomaster is comparable to a 40mm Rolex case shape if that helps?
bought from concierge so first service is complementary and 3 year warranty.
Thanks for comments so far. I did think the white to start but for me I like the black more. It’s quite a “sparkly” watch so the PCL work well as a whole. The strap is available separately in April.

Hi Martyn , I have a Rolex but the chunky Deepsea as regards size. The smallest watch I own is a Omega SMP. I have tried on a Tudor Black Bay S&G which I thought was about as small as my wrist size allows. I have owned a Zenith but a Stratos Spindrift so again a large case.
The Chronomaster to my eye really is a stunner, so still hopeful perhaps in white it may have sufficient wrist presence for me.
It looks class on your wrist.
Cheers
Lovely.
Funnily enough I was pottering around the house last night, and had the insistent thought that there was something I meant to check online, though I couldn't remember what. Checking in on this thread I now remember what it was - I'd wanted to see Martyn's shots ...
Like others I'm very taken with the black. I think I'd assumed that white was the colour to go for, but am wondering how far I'd assumed that on the basis of preferring the white Daytona as opposed to looking at this watch disinterestedly.
Martyn, you'll remember that petay993 returned his ('I considered both the fit and finish of the bracelet SEL's below par for a watch at this price ... It was for me the shape of the fitted end links, they appeared slightly convex and the brushing was fuzzy'). What are your thoughts on the bracelet? Thanks.
Yes I returned mine purely down to the look of the bracelet end links. I didn't like the quality of brushing or the fit. Maybe I have been spoilt by the tolerances on Rolex bracelet models.
It is difficult to tell if Martin's end links are better finished but he seems happy enough having had ample time to reflect.
My other issue was you could see daylight between the end link and the case on one side. I wonder if I just got unlucky with an early production piece tbh.
There was never an issue with the dial and bezel on the Chronomaster Sport, the overall look of the sub dials embedded in the glossy black dial was very attractive without doubt.
typo of course! Or I blame spellchecker! cm of course
the bracelet is fine. The brushing on the links is consistent across all links. There is a very small step (less than 1/8mm) between the case edge and the bracelet centre link that is not perceivable without close inspection.
I see no gap between the case and bracelet edges - I think the brushed end links may be slightly concave by design - the bracelet has a nod to Gay Fréres style bracelets, but with closer links.
Ok - the bracelet isn’t to Rolex finesse but I am quite happy with it. More importantly it is very comfortable which can’t be said for some very expensive pieces on bracelets that I’ve owned.
I’ll possibly do a review in a while. I don’t think I can consider doing a review after ownership of less than a week.
@petay933 maybe have another look at a boutique when they re-open - you may have got a duffer somehow?

I'd have the white dial in preference, but congrats Martyn - Looks really good.

Wanted - Damasko DC57
Has anyone on here bought the white dial version yet?
Thanks! Sadly it’s had to go back to Zenith as there is a fault with the Chronograph part - sometimes it doesn’t engage properly when re-starting the chrono with the top pusher ie a stop-start-stop-start sequence. Stuart talked to Zenith Switzerland and I’ll be getting a full refund.
I may consider a white dial once the refund has gone through. Maybe after a view in store soon?
That is a very fine looking watch Indeed
Definitely the white dial looks better. The tri colour sub dials pop a lot more.

It looks far better in the flesh than my photos show. Feels really special and excellent finishing, although I haven't put it under a loupe. No issues so far but I haven't really worn it other than for photos and played only a little. I gave them my wrist size and they took 3 links out before sending but it's still loose and need to remove another before I can really start wearing it. Don't have a suitable screwdriver to do it myself yet and nervous about using the wrong size tool for fear of scratching.
Thanks. I really appreciate that. I’m going to wait until ADs open then go and look at one in person. 🤔
Many thanks for reporting this. I tried and mine has the same problem! After using the chrono stop/start button a few times without resetting in between, it begins failing to engage sometimes, becomes temperamental. Even worse, once that happens, the chrono minute hand gets stuck while the 1/10th s and s hands keep moving as normal. Resetting solves the issues temporarily but I managed to repeat the problem 3 times within a few minutes. Definitely a fault.
Lovely watch, sorry to hear about the issues. I’ve had similar issues with a Striking Tenth about ten years ago. I’d quite like the black dial version at some point in the future though.
i slightly prefer the white dial too, that’s a fine watch
