I can't any posts on this elsewhere:

The automatic version has been announced: https://monochrome-watches.com/tisso...-review-price/

Looks like a good movement for the price. 80 hour power reserve particularly.

The waffle dial doesn't look as good as the quartz's sunburst to me though.

I mentioned the automatic in the other PRX thread that is running, which seemed to have taken precedence!

Fantastic price for a automatic watch with intergrated bracelet, can't wait to pick up the blue dial version.

I really like this type of design with an angular case, integrated bracelet and I prefer quartz watches usually. Case size is too big for my tastes so I'll stick with my OQ.

Not so keen on the dial on that. I think the blue dialed quartz looks great. Maybe it's an age thing. :) I've added it to my list.

I agree, I prefer the plain dial (in blue).

A few reviews say that and Tissot must have known the comparisonwould be made. It seems a shame as the quartz dial looks great and more in sympathy with their own past model.

An automatic movement with the blue 'quartz dial' would be a real winner in my books!

Interesting that the sunburst dials aren’t offered in the automatic version. Maybe they’re trying too hard to go for the AP Genta look

I too would be more inclined towards them with an automatic movement!

I can’t remember where I read it, not much use I know, but apparently there will be a mechanical version later this year.

Just about to click ‘buy’ on the blue dial but thought I’d try this again. Not worn it for months. Saved myself £300....

    I like that a lot

  22. #72
I’d still rather have the quartz, it seems more fitting...

I was intrigued with this watch so I bought one. I was expecting it to be wear too big but it wasn't as bad as I thought. Overall feel in hand was good and seemed worth the £260 that I paid for it.

Unfortunately one big issue I could not get over was the seconds hand not aligning with the seconds marker. The hand would literally stop in between the markers. I sent it back for refund.

Bringing this thread back due to picking one up a few days back. Got it cheap at the airport traveling to UK from Malta. Worked out at about £220 so couldn’t say no.

I was tempted by one of these at a duty-free while on holiday and at £224 I succumbed; the blue dial quartz 40mm model as pictured by others earlier in the thread. It does wear big and actually it's not quite my thing at this size, but since I have a lot of smaller watches I'm going to keep it as something a bit different. It does look and feel very classy, especially at this price. One nice touch is that the bracelet has two removable links that are smaller than the others, so you can adjust the size of the bracelet to your wrist quite closely.

    Will take a pic tomorrow.

I picked up a 40mm white dial quartz at the beginning of the year, after comparing both the auto and the quartz side by side the conclusion was, apart from the powermatic movement and waffle dial, the case & finishing was exactly the same on both models.

After the initial honeymoon period the watch settled into my rotation, however I couldn't help thinking it was just a little too large for a 40mm and it wore slightly bigger on wrist.

When Tissot announced that they would be releasing a 35mm version, I couldn't wait to pick one up....fast forward to present day, I have since purchased a 35mm in the white/silver/champagne dial or whichever shade you want to call it, and it is just perfect.

The 35mm is so much more wearable in my opinion with the same quality as the 40mm versions, now looking forward to the 35mm auto models if/when Tissot release these.

As for my 40mm version, I may pick up one their leather straps just to switch it up a bit and looking at the photos in this thread, it does look good.

Also, if you are interested (you may have seen it already), on Jody's YouTube channel Just One More Watch, he does an excellent review of both the 40mm & 35mm white dial quartz models which is worth a watch.

I think I may well invest in the 35mm model as well actually, perhaps the green one. It might scratch my OQ itch in a modest way.

    But I'm enjoying this one.

The 35mm is so much more wearable in my opinion, quality is the same as the 40mm in case and construction and the dial size to handset ratio seems just right.

I would say with the protruding first end links on the 35mm actually help with the overall visual sizing of the watch unlike the 40mm, they actually make the watch look and wear more like a 36mm/37mm (at a push) piece.

It's a great size I think, can't wait for Tissot to release the 35mm powermatic model (this was mentioned a while back I think) but for now, the 35mm will stay on the bracelet and my 40mm, I will probably pick up one of the newly released leather straps for this as they do look really good.

A cheaper (quartz) option for folks who like the waffle dial, perhaps - the Accurist Origin (£169 at the moment), shown here on the right. Slightly larger case at 41mm and I've shown it to scale here. The bracelet isn't integrated, it uses flush end links so you could fit a regular strap. There's a version with a canvas strap for £149.

PSA - If anyone fancies trying their PRX on a strap, you can get 20mm adaptors to fit the PRX now, although I've only seen them on AliExpress.

I've just ordered a pair for £3.50 or so.

Certainly worth a try at that price, I felt.

Tissot sell the strap/adaptors also, check their website....I own two of the white dial quartz models, firstly bought the 40mm version but found it wears much bigger so also picked up the 35mm model when it was released last year, much better fit (7.25 inch wrist) and wears really well.

    I've got the 40mm.

When I first saw it thought it was too big, but when I tried it on I thought it was fine (I wear watches from 34mm to 46mm, so maybe I'm just less size sensitive - the only watch I thought was TOO big was there Bulova Lunar Pilot).

PS I can't see the adaptors on Tissot's website, btw.

Yes, you are correct....just checked the Tissot website and can't find them either, must admit it was a while back when I saw them as I was looking for an alternative strap for my 40mm PRX at that time.

    Yes, utter junk.

They don't go anywhere close to fitting the PRX - Don't waste the sub £4 they cost including postage (AliExpress gave me an instant refund, as it happens, so consider this a PSA )
