    Cricket down under

I have been following the Indian cricket tour of Aus through all the formats over the past number of weeks. Amazing finish on the final day of the final test was a fitting climax to a very enjoyable tour. Anyone else impressed?

Very much! The series went down to the last match / last day / last hour! Doubly impressive that India won it in spite of having so many of their top players out with injury...

Lots of positives, certainly from an Indian pov but also from England's too. Not so much for Australia.

The fact that a weakened Indian side beat Australia on their home turf is an achievement in itself, the fact that they managed it after the humiliation of the 1st test, is something else. Slight headache for BCCI is that Rahane has proved to be a better captain than Kohli - not that that's exactly a huge problem!

England face India in a total of 9 test matches over the next few months - 4 away, starting month and 5 at home in Summer. So it will provide a great opportunity for England to prepare for the Ashes in Winter. Should be a great 12 months for Test match cricket fans.
