I'm sure a lot of you had the email to say this would be available in goldsmiths, but what a lovely thing it is.
The history behind Carl Brashear is fascinating being a black American who rose to the highest rank a diver can achieve in the US Navy, Master Chief Petty Officer Brashear was in real life responsible for retrieving a lost Nuke off the coast of Spain somewhere too, some of his words are immortalised on the back of the watch which is a nice touch.
And if you have never watch the film Men of Honour, please do so, it is an excellent story about his life despite De Niro's character not actually being a real individual but a composite of many characters that influenced Brashear.
