Wow that's some transformation and looks great. Ready for another 25 years!
The 25-year old plastic case cracked on my mid-1990's Gshock DW6900 - due to old age.
I ordered a new metal case = £24 from Ali-Express, strap adapters (16mm-22mm), and a 22mm mesh from Ebay.
Total cost = £33.
I am chuffed with the results - The old beater is like a new watch.
The watch has been multi-purpose, from snorkeling in the Caribbean, to washing the car, gardening, and at work when I was a chemical engineer dispensing Hydrochloric acid and I needed something that did not corrode on the wrist.
The beast is back.

Great work sir. Definitely transformed it. Out of interest, do they sell black cases?
Yes - shiny black, gold bling, and a titanium blue-ish rainbow colour.
I wanted to swap between the mesh and a nato on the 22mm adapters, but the case would have been very top heavy.
The mesh or a metal bracelet will be the best the way to go.
I ordered the parts Pre-Brexit / and pre-VAT.
The delivery time was 4-weeks over the Christmas holidays, during the French port blockade due to Covid

Ali will do the metal band to match the case colour - full set at £55 +vat = £66.
16-22mm adapters were from Ali. / The mesh was a better price at Ebay.
Excellent. Thanks for the link. My old G-Shock is not looking it's best these days. :)
The case is great value for the money - I nearly pressed the button on a titanium case to use for gardening.
I did not consider the metal bracelet because I knew the mesh would be comfy, and suit me better.
The only minor problem is the light button needs a good old press to activate when cased up (it is OK out of the case) - but that could be the watch rather than the case alignment.
