What's Broomhall like by the way? And is it Broomhall or Broomhill? It seems a bit unclear.

Thanks to everyone that has replied so far. Kids have left home (yay!) so no need to worry about schools. While I'm not too averse to living in Sheffield itself, some of the smaller towns with decent rail links are interesting me such as Dronfield, Alfreton, Dore and Totley.

Its my home city , we live that side of the city and its a superb part of the city . We are about 9 miles out of town and live in a village . fire me a pm if you like .

S20 is where it's at! Some nice areas and a variety of houses ranging from 2 bed townhouses and bungalows to 4/5 bed detached and everything in between. Served well by the Supertram, 5 minutes from the M1, peak district 20 mins away and a lot more affordable than the S10, S11, S17 areas which are nice but pricey. I am biased though as I've lived this end all my life. There are some ropey areas though, although I have lived in them with no problems. We are now in a lovely quiet cul de sac of just 5 houses with woodland walks and farmers fields literally on our doorstep.

Thats where we have a couple of houses , Harry McGuire lives in the village and its quite rural . Lots of quality places to eat and drink and off the beaten track too

Goodluck. Definitely don’t confuse broomhall am with broomhill.

Post move and covid I can thoroughly recommend the beer engine pub next to Waitrose. Excellent tapas and some of the best beers you’ll find in the world.

Failing that if you fancy a 30oz Steak La Vaca grill house is on your doorstep. If you’re not too hungry they do a 24oz for the ladies.

Broomhill, student area, great for beers, restaurants & shops including a good record shop. Very close to Crosspool and Crookes.

Broomhall, great for other ways of getting high and things the Mrs probably wouldn't approve of. My Nan used to live in the high rise flats at Broomhall, it was interesting visiting her as a kid and my first experience of lifts that smell of wee!

I’m born and bred in Sheffield and worked all over the country but always had my home here.
Would definitely recommend S10 or S11 ,my daughters just come home after 10 years in London and has moved into a terraced house in Dore,if I could afford it I would move there in a heartbeat.
It has absolutely everything you need and only about 10-15 minutes max by car to Broomhill.
