Looks dodgy on about 16 different levels to me.
Tell your mate to swerve it.

The plastic wrap is indeed odd. Though that is an actual model, if that was in doubt -

I've seen plastic on the bracelets on new watches to protect them. Is he buying from an AD? I can't see anything wrong compared to the referred item - more pics would be useful.

Is it me, or is there a problem with the case/bracelet interface?

Fakes are so good, and I’m so inexpert in the details, that I’m always afraid of commenting, but it looks pretty good to me and the plastic wrap on the bracelet is very common. In fact I bought a loose but new navitomer bracelet once (yes it was as painfully expensive as you imagine!) and it came sort of shrink wrapped with loose end links.

As for the watch, if an expert told me it was legit, I’d believe them. Often, it’s in the handling / super macro shots that you find the truth.

I’ve bought a few brand new B:s and handled many back in the day. New bracelets have always been wrapped in plasic film that looks like that. The pic is just not good enough to say anything more about that specific watch. There used to be a great fake busters subforum on the, dare I say, WUS Breitling forum. I’d ask there if I was in doubt.

I’d be interested to hear you list them, if they’re such obvious tells. (Genuine question). Looks ok to me (again I’m not an expert and the photo isn’t great)

Nothing specific and perhaps being over-cautious about a watch that it unattractive to me.
To be honest I'm surprised it's even a real model.
    Shows what I know!

You can't judge on the wrap. We sometimes use it at work to protect bracelets from handling swirls.
I wouldnt even try to call it from that image.

Some retailers leave the plastic protection on in the window display to avoid handling damage. It says a lot about the current Breitling range that even a possibly genuine model looks like a knock-off model.

Agree....Breitling as a brand rather becoming a fake brand....

I am not sure if I understand your comment. A good fake/replica will look like the original because it is copied and copied well. Doesn’t say anything about the original.

    Looks genuine to my eye.
Not the most desirable model, so he should get a good price.

Had a few BNIB bracelets arrive wrapped, including Breitling.

Did your friend say where he was buying it from, to doubt its authenticity?

To the OP - where is your friend buying from.

If it's a pre-owned watch from a reputable source the the wrap could be genuine. I recall having a Breitling re-finished and serviced some years back and it came back protected by plastic.

Your best bet is to advise you friend to "buy the seller".

You can't tell anything from the picture.

hi, nor sure without looking at it close up, but never ever had one with plastic around the bracelet when delivered direct to an "ad"
