I wonder how the quality compared to Ginault.

    Certainly not Ginault quality
    Different beast.

As in, not as good? Doesn't look as refined.

Of course not. It's a totally different price point, with a totally different aim.

I don’t think anywhere near as good.
Ginault is another level of copy.

I think they are aimed at different markets as the price disparity is substantial. The Guinalt is much more expensive.
The WMT is a bit of fun with more than a nod to the 5513. However it’s case shape, case back etc is completely different. It’s a homage not an out and out copy, a bit like a Steinhart but at a cheap n cheerful end of the market.
The same can not be said of the other watch which is almost identical to the Rolex (and if the rumours are true) - comes from a factory that has plenty of experience making copies of Rolex’s

Can't comment on the quality comparison, but I have WMT incoming from ebay with the exact spec I would have chosen, so I'm a happy bunny!

Thanks again to all who suggested WMT, exactly what I was after in the OP.

Congrats! it's my most stress-free watch to wear - looks great and I'm not worried at all if it scratches or not:P Enjoy

Mine came this morning and I am pretty happy with it. This one has an NH35 movement in it. Lume on hands is very good but plots are poor if at all.

The nato that comes with it is pretty poor in my opinion so I swapped it for a old distressed one I have.

Got my hands on a WMT Sea Diver and its looks the biz on my wrist (especially as the watch is 39mm), but defo feels cheaper than some of my other watches.

The Miyota 821A is quite loud, would prefer a model with the NH35 in it and a click to the bezel.

Will try and post a pic of it on a Milanese later.

Another shot on a different strap.

No bezel click on this one, it’s just friction fit.

Very nice that, must keep an eye out on eBay or SC to see if any UK based watches come up for sale. There is one listed at present for £400 but it's the one with the 4 markers all the way around the insert, I think I prefer yours with fewer markers - looks a lot neater.

Just done a WTB in case anyone is on the fence about theirs.

I agree that the closer it looks to a 5517, the better.

I have PM’d you some details.

This rocked up this morning! Overall very impressed. Noisy rotor - don't really care. Generic Oyster bracelet arrived at the same time so whacked that on, it does have rattly end links, but so did my 5513! :)

Only schoolboy error is the whole point was I wanted a plexi crystal and I forgot to ask the ebay seller if this was plexi or mineral....

I shall wear it for a while and see if it hits the spot or not.

Meanwhile, so much WANT for one of these - with a plexi of course...

How much shipping/import duty hassle and cost are people getting on the WMTs?

for mine they declared a lower value, so probably 40 or 50 quid all in and not much hassle (Fedex)

I paid 40 dollars to the UK and it came within 4 days. No import duty so far but still time for something in the post.

Looks good but plexi is way to go ;)

The homage to the blancpain is awesome!

How is the crown on yours? It’s very very wobbly and loose on mine. I have spoken to a few others on here and they say theirs is rock solid.
I have messaged WMT to ask about how we go about rectifying the issue. No response yet.

Got mine from WMT watches today.
Ordered it using online configurator. Quite illogically I didn’t want it to be an exact copy of one particular model, so went with my own configuration.
    A few thoughts.
In line with expectations. Streets ahead of Tiger concept. Except for the movement quality is on par with Steinhart.
Got a riveted bracelet with it. Barely enoug links for my 7.25 wrist unless I wear it Haywood Milton style.
    Overall quite pleased.

That looks really good - do they offer a specific of option for the white depth rating? That’s very niche / specific if so!

Tempted to get another WMT - but really can’t justify if...

Does anyone have the WMT bracelet that they might sell? Ideally the extra large length.
    Thanks

Looks great! Wish the bezel edge was more aggressive, like a 5512/5513. I know some of their other models have it.

As far as Ginault, since it's been mentioned, the name usually brings credibility wars on other watch fora.

If you feel like reading and keeping busy as a detective then read here:

Thank you for the link. It was interesting and eye opening, particularly the part about human-trafficking dial makers. All of a sudden, this thread doesn’t feel very wholesome.

Thanks for the link, I mentioned the suspicions re the origins of Guinalt earlier in the thread, I had heard the rumours about Gunault but seen very little ‘evidence’. This link highlights a lot of evidence that support the rumours. The human trafficking bit is particularly vile if true.
The link to other well known micro brands is also telling.
It just goes to show you can never be too sure on the origins of a product and why the fake industry should be avoided by all.
I for one have no idea of the origins of WMT, it gives you something to think about.
It was interesting to see a well known forum name mentioned in the article.
