The Upper Hand. It was our version of Who’s The Boss from the US.

The girl in that has turned into the blandlady of the Queen Vic in Eastenders so I am reliably informed by my soad-addicted wife.

I loved who’s the boss. Tony Danza was like the late 80’s Fonzie.

Always used to notice that the set for both shows was exactly the same layout.

Well, that led to me discovering what the name of a 70's tv series, that I've been trying to remember for decades, where a planet ruled by women enters the earths solar system and shenannigans ensue...

    I give you...

All sounds too adult for me.
Around that time I'd have been watching Michael Bentime's potty time, The tomorrow people, Gemini Man, The Goodies & Rentaghost.

It might be to the Manor Born?

I watched it as a kid in the early 90`s.

Seemed good at the time but it was a different world back then.

If not for the daughter part. Almost sounds like show Mulberry from 1992

I won't say anything about the series, but I liked it

Will have to check out the upper hand, but not all UK shows can be found online here in Canada

    Worth a watch

Yep, definitely Kelly Bright, i remember her originally from a kids TV program 'T-Bag' or something. We're about the same age and share a surname and there's not that many of us about, so i remember her being in T-bag and Upper hand

She was in everything in the 90s (well not everything)
    The upper hand
    T-Bag
Maid Marion and Her Merry Men (that was a class show when I was a kid - Blackadder without the rude bits)
Then she was 'Ma Julie' with 'da big Babylons' in Ali-G the movie.
