Thread: NFL Playoffs

    NFL Playoffs

Anyone else bunkering down for the next 2 evenings?

Been looking forward to this all week. Think there's going to be some close games, cant make my mind up who I like the most. The Bills look a good bet, especially after what they did to the top rated Dolphins defence last week, and homefield could be a big advantage for the Packers with the weather in Green Bay. Then add in Tom Brady, the Chiefs and maybe Drew Brees's last season and looks like a top couple of weeks of NFL.

As a Vikings fan I can only get excited about the playoffs every other year. But the Mrs is a Bills fan and the daughter is a Buccaneers fan so we have an excited household.

I've gone for the Bills to win outright

Raiders fan here, but I’ll select a few games over the next two evenings.
Looking forward to the Colts v Bills, which is about to start.
I’m going for a Bills win.

I'm a browns fan so I'm pretty excited given its our first time in the playoffs for the best part of 20 years. Sadly I don't fancy our chances much against the Steelers tomorrow night!

    I’ll be recording this one.
Always had a soft spot for the Browns (been wearing my beanie!), but think the Steelers will win.

    Colts not going away.

Factor in the 2 missed 3 points and they could/should be in front

Very tight! I tell you that hail mary wasn't far off - he's still got some arm strength Rivers! But happy to see the Bills through, the playoffs are much more exciting having them still in!

Good game, right to the end, and could have easily gone either way.
Happy that the Bills take the W.

No, not really. A Dutch team has my interest, simply because I'm from the team's hometown.

Made it through to end of Rams Seahawks but was flagging.

Thought Colts were unlucky against the Bills, good to see the Bills learnt how to defend a Hail Mary after their experience against the Cardinals.

Just watched the Bucs game, Redskins put up a decent fight of it as well.

Same again tonight? Might have a doze this afternoon to take the edge if it tonight!!

2 happy campers in the house today, not me as the Seahawks ruined my accumulator.

Bills should walk the next round but think SF might be too much for them.

Was just about to say where’s this Titans defence that’s so poorly rated as they’ve been doing a great job, then Lamar Jackson steps up

Yea I think it will be. Sadly early bed for me, but reckon you’ll be rewarded with a cracker between the Browns and Steelers if you manage to stay up!

I flipped around. Not real football without the crowds. Feels more like pre-season games

Would like to see the Bills win it though. Missed that game

Thought Saints were always better than the Bears, but certainly in the first half, Trubisky gave them a few scares. And how did Wims miss that in the end zone, our equivalent of missing an open goal.

With home schooling, no way I could manage Browns and Steelers, what a mistake!! Will catch that game at some point today as looks a cracker

Phwoah, I tell you, my prediction wasn't far off with the game - I had the Browns winning a good game, but to put nearly 50 points on the board against the Steelers was not what I expected. Clearly the psychological hurdle being cleared last week set them up! The AFC is shaping up very nicely, they'll give Kansas a good game. And then Baltimore vs Bills, that should be an epic!

The NFC isn't really doing much for me this year. I guess Saints vs Bucs for the old-timers but I see Brady winning that. Rams are my sneaky pick to beat the Packers, but honestly the Packers should be running through the Conference and to the Super Bowl.

The Bears Saints game was shown on nick kids channel in thee US.

They took the opportunity to use some nick characters, such as Young Sheldon to do some rule explanations - much more entertaining than the explanations the Beeb put out during the Superbowl every year.

I was amazed the Browns beat the Steelers last night. Even though we beat them the week before it was at home and the steelers were resting key players like Big Ben. Very exciting first quarter.

Despite yesterdays performance I still can't see us getting past the chiefs but hopefully we will be able to give them a good game. Just need to hope we don't lose anymore players to Covid!

    Another weekend with no sleep

Think the Bills Ravens tonight is bit too late for me so will watch it tomorrow. That’s the game I really wanted to watch so bit miffed.

Assuming the Bills don’t pull out a big lead, I fancy the Ravens in that one, purely because of the unpredictability of what Jackson is going to do. Very hard to defend against as don’t think his offence know what he’ll do.

Packers Rams will be close if Ramsey keeps Adams in check but don’t see the Rams scoring enough to bother the Packers. And no matter what Aaron Donald said, those ribs must be bothering him.

UFC on first, and then then the NFL.

Well the Packers are just slowly turning the screw - long drives, Rodgers seems to be in control and at the moment I fear for the Rams.

Bills v Ravens kicks off at 1.15 then coverage of the test match in Sri Lanka starts at 04.25

In a weak AFC, they seem a cut above.

    NFC!!

Think they’ll be in Super Bowl, definitely seem a better all round team than Saints or Bucs

Could be very tough for the Rams. Bring on some real Lambeau snow.

Good finish to the half. Still fancy the Packers for the W.

Said to my Rams mate, you’ve scored too early there.

Needed to keep it to one score there after getting the TD

Yea, I can't see Goff turning this into a shoot out, but good to see the Rams running game start working. I am a bit miffed how one of the best defenses are being slowly ripped apart (well I'm not, the offensive line of the Packers have been so impressive), but still good patient play by the Packers.

Well they just said on Sky Sports the Rams are the best at stopping big plays....not quite that time!

  44. #44
That was a great 2 pointer, almost a shame to waste it on just that and not a TD

That wasn’t as close as the score suggests.

Packers looked very good in that, should be far too strong for the Saints or Bucs

The Packers outplayed the Rams in every department.
    Very impressive

The Chiefs agains the Browns tomorrow will probably be even more one sided

    NFL Playoffs

Just saw Bills/Ravens highlights. That was a monster return for the pick six! And what timing too!

I actually fancy the Browns to give Kansas a good game. Momentum most certainly helps.

    The browns are the browns.

That game is going to be more one sided than the ncca final

I’m going for the Browns to give them a good game. Decent pair of running backs, reasonable WR’s and very good QB, if he wants to be

Could end up as a proper shout out

The Browns really are the Browns it seems. Their best bet is if Mahomes limp gets worse, but he's still making good throws.
