Started watching City in 1970. Brilliant player in a great team. Got his autograph at Ringway Airport when they were off to a European game.
The King is dead.
Arguably Man City’s greatest ever player.
Humble and a gentleman .
Long live The King .

Another of those icon players from the late 60s, early 70s and like in most teams part of a holy trinity with Lee and Summerbee.
A great player for a City and England.
RIP Colin

Absolute Rolls Royce of a player. RIP.
I was privileged to see Bell play in the early 70's what an amazing player. I think for a couple of seasons he was the best British player on the planet. Box to box he was incredible. He had two terrible injuries which robbed him of his pace but still was a heck of a player. RIP Colin Bell
I was 7 in 1975 when I started going to the odd match at Maine Road so I missed seeing him in his pomp. But of course as a young kid he was the star City player and the first players name I knew.
I started going more regularly in 1981 and by that time his playing days were over
Saw him a few times at the Etihad when I was in the corporate section and he was always that bit quieter than Tony Book and a lot quieter than Mike Summerbee!! But a real gentleman and proud that my season tickets are level 2 of the Colin Bell stand.
RIP and some decent write ups today in The Times and McNultys piece on the BBC website

A shame when the great players leave us.
RIP Colin.
I last saw him play at wembley in 74 great player we won that day but only because our goalie played out of his skin.
Can’t believe it was 46 years ago.
