    Watch authenticators...

This lot were flagged on Fratello: https://www.relleb.com/

Offer an authentication service for luxury watches.

    Thoughts?

I bet they are more expensive, slower and less effective than posting a picture of a dodgy watch here. Perhaps more relevantly, if they are appealing to the luxury watch market and can't get their translation sorted out, I'd stick to getting it checked as you get it serviced. I don't see the point of an extra layer of complexity, shipping and so on.

If they make a mistake what is the comeback? How is it underwritten?
Looks good on the surface but am dubious.

So you send the watch you haven’t yet bought to be authenticated ....hmmm not sure the vendor will be overly cooperative?..more likely take deep offence..

Or you send the watch you have already purchased to be authenticated?...bit after the horse has bolted ...

Never an easy subject but as said photos (HQ) and forums help massively as does having a really good movement photo...

Only buy from the best...we have several amongst us....

Do they also sell watches? Bit of the old poacher turned gamekeeper going on?

Their fees for whatever-it-is-they-do depend upon the age of the watch.

    1 to 5 yrs € 200
    5 to 10 yrs € 250
    10 to 20 yrs € 300
    20 to 50 yrs € 350
    > 50 yrs € 500

Any member wishing to contribute half the relevant figure entirely to Eddie's fundraiser may bring a Rolex to me and I'll give you my opinion thereof.

An excellent offer from Haywood and well worth considering if you don't know the full history of an intended purchase.
