Rapper MF Doom has died, only 49. A unique talent.
Aw that is so sad to hear - really loved his work. Only last week I was remarking on his skills while listening to his new track along with badbadnotgood - "the chocolate conquistadors"

I can honestly say - This was the first I had heard of him.
Seems he died back in October but his family never announced it? Very strange.

I have never heard of him before seeing this on the news yesterday. Any idea what the delay was between date of death and announcement? Curious why it would take so long.
He was notoriously a private individual. He spent much effort is protecting his anonymity. I am only speculating, but for me, it's probably that.
For me this is sad sad news. I used to be a huge rap fan, and as my music tastes changed/evolved I never stopped loving his work.
His catalogue of work was incredibly varied. Each album/persona was unique, but easily identifiable as him.
I'm very happy to have seen him perform at Camden Roundhouse with Wu-Tang.
A massive talent the hip-hop world will miss!

Haha, yes. No idea if I can confirm that, and it's sad that he blighted his career in that way.
