    My Retirement Watch

I closed the business two week's ago after deciding i wanted to retire. A week ago i thought it would be fitting to present myself with a watch for long service, anyways this turned up today and i am thrilled. 36mm Datejust with Jubilee bracelet Roulette date wheel and a full set, purchased in the UK in 2018 so just over 2 years old. The perfect watch for dinners on the Cruise's

Congratulations and what a lovely retirement gift. Fantastic in fact. Something that is obviously very well deserved after so many years service.

Congrats. Sounds like you already have a plan in place, enjoy!

Funnily enough a cruise ship is one place I would feel very safe wearing an expensive watch.

Nice one Paul, the Datejust is a classic and I’m sure you’ll enjoy it.

As for retirement, I was fortunate to do it several years ago, it’s the best career move you can make!

If you get bored you can always do a bit of decorating to keep your hand in!

Enjoy retirement, enjoy the watch, enjoy driving that yellow TR6 on sunny days.

What an amazing, classic Rolex and it looks splendid on the jubilee bracelet.

Many congratulations on it and your retirement.

Of course, the irony is that when retired you don’t have to worry so much about the time. Very relaxing.

Very true, but us watch freaks just like looking at them, so there is more time to do that.

I got it wrong it’s not a Jubilee but a Presidents Bracelet, it has the hidden clasp.

You were right the first time, it is a jubilee bracelet, with hidden clasp, not a president bracelet.

Lovely piece - the best type of bracelet I think. My wife has a Lady DJ with the same clasp - perfect combination. And congratulations on your retirement also.

I dropped out of the rat race August 2019 and haven’t looked back since. Enjoy!

Did not know that. I was looking at the booklet with my Sub from way back and i saw the Presidents had the hidden clasp, so naturally assumed.

Dead right Martyn if its a dress watch the Jubilee with hidden clasp is so much classier then the Oyster. I searched for a while, and getting a Roulette Date wheel l was a bonus also

Unless of course they rob you of your watch and throw you overboard.
