    This or that

Hopefully getting a Rolex BLRO early next year, but to make space for it one of the current collection (consisting of IWC Portuguese automatic 18k, Rolex BLNR, Rolex SD43, Rolex DJ41 Wimbledon TT) has to go. Up on the chopping block are either the BLNR or SD43.

Don’t really want to move either on but needs must. Could argue don’t need two GMTs, but I wear the BLNR on a blue Everest strap which makes it look so good. The SD43 is a great allrounder which I can wear anyway. Hmm, decisions decisions!

What would you sell to make room for a BLRO?

Wimbledon or the IWC, if not the BLNR. Really any just not the SD43.

That’s the IWC, but it was bought to mark an occasion so isn’t going anywhere. Of the BLNR and SD43 I wear them equally.

Yeah, did think about the Wimbledon, but only bought it 6 months ago new from an AD and not keen on loosing some money on it.

The difference between what you buy the BLRO for and what it'll be worth immediately will be greater than any loss on the Wimbledon if that helps you square it mentally.

I don't think you will lose anything on the Wimbledon DJ selling to a Grey in the present market.

Hi Michael. If you have to sell - I would sell the one that could be most easily be replaced. Maybe it’s my perception but the SD43 could be replaced easiest later so I kick out that one.

Personally, I'd be substituting the BLRO for the BLNR. Easy decision in my book.

I’d keep the blnr, I think it’s one of the best looking watches out there. I’d probably chop the Wimbledon date just first

This is what I’m thinking, collection more rounded with one GMT...although the BLNR on Everest rubber I do really like.

Not keen on loosing £££, so may keep the Wimbledon. What is a realistic sale price for this?

    Wimbledon or BLNR
The sooner you sell the wimbledon, the closer you'll get to RRP for it.

Think the SD43 is safe, I’d miss not having a watch with a brushed oyster bracelet. Plus compared to my others it is the least blingy one.

Seems like you have a decision! Or maybe sell the Wimbledon and cut your losses.

Think the Wimbledon is safe, I do really like it. Leaning towards moving the BLNR, Everest have confirmed that the rubber strap will fit the BLRO, so keeping the BLNR will not add much to the collection....just need the BLRO now!
