Good luck to everyone attempting to pick up a Mission timer this afternoon.....this looks like it will be a massive seller, especially the three dial version so I expect the shop to be open for about 5 seconds later on.....fingers at the ready !!!

The PRS-40 on sale later today is not the mission timer, which i certainly hope will be launching soon.
Good luck to all buying today.

Nice read but I don't quite understand the idea of the Mission Timer as a watch concept evolved by Sinn in the '90s, at least in the terms described: telling the time and measuring elapsed time with a bezel, with clarity. Nearly every diver's watch does that, I would have thought.

It’s for the twentyfirst century common man on a mission.
Got a new watch, divers watch it is, had to drown the bastard to get it!

Common about sums me up. Love the stainless with black bezel.

No they don't, hardly any divers watches are chronographs.

The Mission Timer measures elapsed time on the chrono and has a bezel as well (countdown, not up)

Ah but I referred there to the "terms described", and there's mention of a chronograph function in your summation of the simple concept of a Mission Timer in the review, nor a countdown bezel: "The concept is very simple. It needs to tell the time; it needs to measure elapsed time and it needs a bezel."

And a bezel doesn't measure elapsed time with any precision, not to the second anyhow, in the way that a chronograph does. I suspect this is a bit of gentle winding up, but I think the terms are clear enough when read in conjunction with any knowledge of an EZM1, and its specification. Especially as I put "and" between the elapsed time and bezel. You refer to measuring elapsed time with the bezel, different thing altogether.
