SORTED - Best Tablet for £100 ish?

My youngest has some money from her Grandad for Christmas and is looking to replace the Amazon tablet she's smashed the screen on. I've done a fair bit of research and read a lot of reviews and am not that much further forward to be honest.

She streams TV shows via Netflix and iPlayer and watches a lot of YouTube videos on it. Common complaints I've found are that you're likely to get 16GB for the money, which is OK, but the bloatware takes at least half of that so the machine is slow and glitchy from the off.

As ever I bow to the collective superior knowledge around these parts. Any recommendations?

    Many thanks.

For a hundred quid, another Amazon tablet might be as good as you’ll get.

Ours have got Samsung galaxy Tab As. Was worth the extra for us for the 10" screen, case and screen protector.

You can get the 8" cheaper

If £100 is the maximum then an Amazon Fire is probably the best you’ll get, and they aren’t bad for the money. But, my missus had one and compared to my iPad it was so slow and clunky, I think you kind of get what you pay for with these things. If you were willing to spend a bit extra it’s worth looking at these places that sell refurbished iPads. You can get some good deals for under £200 if you put the time in and personally speaking I’d rather have a refurbished Apple product than a brand new Amazon Fire.

(I hate it when people specify a budget and some smart arse comes in with a suggestion of something that costs twice as much so apologies for that!).

Thanks for your input folks, she's ordered a 32GB Android 10" tablet from Amazon. It's customer rated at 4.8 / 5 and has cost her £119.99 delivered. Let's see what it's like.

    Merry Christmas all.
