    Work Zoom Xmas Party

I'm at my work Zoom virtual Xmas party at the moment. I need a drink just to get through this.

Pour whisky from a teapot, no one will notice.

My son had his one the other day - didn't bother logging on.

    Virtual party? Waste of time.
    Cheers,
    Neil.

My wife did one last week .
It was a cook along with a Masterchef finalist from a few years ago along with her immediate team .
Ingredients and methods were delivered along with a bottle of wine .
It went down really well with them all and a delicious meal to boot .

I had one last night, but not the whole of the work, just with a group of people I know well. We drank, cracked jokes, attended a virtual casino and then drank some more. I had a great evening. But in general the enforced jollity of work events, especially virtual events is at best painful.

We have one starting in 20 minutes.
They have sent out a cocktail making kit, including the drinks for us to make at home, so hopefully less painful. They also sent a hamper early in December so there are some snacks left over from that

Our dive club had an online Xmas do last night.

We mostly drank, ate mince pies, wore silly hats and jumpers, chatted about the diving we did (or didn't do) in 2020 and what we're hoping to do in 2021 - For a mixed group of people we rub along pretty well, even ribbing each other for diving faux pas without anyone taking offence!

It was quite good fun actually, beat watching Eastenders again, for sure!

Just about to join one with my fellow workers (we're a bit of a co-operative - Power to the People!), but it'll be fine, they're OK people and there's no office politics to worry about

None of this crap where I work. Thank god.

I feel I spend enough time with my colleagues as it is, I will add I do like them, just not enough to spend a Friday evening with them in my house, as such. Always one for a Christmas do but these virtual ones aren’t for me.

No do for us this year, zoom or otherwise. We did get a small dominos pizza each on Tuesday, in lieu of our usually full Christmas dinner in the canteen, which we got to eat at our desks surrounded by our lovely new perspex screens

We had an end of year celebration via TEAMS. It was only an hour, so not too bad.

How I miss the work environment!

We had the TZ vGTG Christmas edition last night - black tie and cocktails - actually quite fun.

We were ‘invited’ to a cider and cheese tasting session on zoom, with a hamper delivered to your door for the ‘event’. I politely declined.

I was trying to imagine something worse, and struggled.

Don’t blame you. Cheese is minging.
