I'll probably never be in a position to buy or own a Rolex yet whilst there's obviously some enthusiasm for them here, it's never struck me as being a barrier for getting involved. There's plenty of discussion and enthusiasm for makes and models from the very cheapest to the most expensive watches. Some people are just bitter. If the place is such a shithole, why is he so keen to sign up?
Who cares about the ramblings of an ex member, no one will give a damn anyway. By talking about him you will give him a cheap thrill, so just forget he ever existed.
I've come to the conclusion he's got a screw loose. Why self destruct and get yourself a ban one month and then get annoyed that you can't rejoin the next?
I see Captainhowdy posts over there...is he a member here? Seem to recall him being controvesial but never paid particular attention...my apologies if not!

The lads over on UKGSER pride themselves in the term tosser. It comes from the fact when the first BMW Rallye suits came out , like the ones Ewan and Charlie wore for Long Way Around , when folk bought them and posted a picture of themselves, people said you like like a right tosser in that. I'm not sure what provoked his unhappiness with tz-uk but I've conversed with him privately when he asked me about certain GS models and always found him reasonable and some fellow members here who I chat with on separate groups have sold to him before and found him a pleasant chap. So I guess it just shows forum personas are unusually not the same as real life personalities.
I agree, we had a PM conversation about a watch I was selling and he came across fine, I think certain things rattled his cage and his persona didn’t have much in the way of filters.
Saying that, his problem with Eddie should be kept private and not air his dirty washing all over other forums.
Maybe just me but I prefer people like Skyman with their non filtered comments to the slimy, sneaky type that has started to slither through some threads..
Horn/devil effect from showing his wealth and having an opinion imo. I don't get why he has mentioned Eddie more than once now on other forums, or why he went around swearing to get kicked out, but I always thought he was alright. He was everyone's friend when be put up the black bay for pennies. No one refused to buy it out of principal then, did they?

It does not take a lot to get banned on Pistonheads, I got a months ban for one post. (Forum of the banned)
Was skyman at the Manchester GTG?
No. Fords aka Volvoman attended a few (a great guy in person btw), and Burnsey66 aka ??? has attended them more recently (another top guy!). Both are banned from here for reasons I don’t remember. Not sure if you met them at the GTG you attended (I was tired by the end!)
